Let Me Call You Sweetheart

I read the book ''let me call you sweetheart'' a few months ago. The book is written by Mary Higgins Clark.
The name of the book makes it sound like it is a love story, but it isn't, it is a thriller.
It is about a plastic surgeon that lost his daughter several years ago, and now he is making all his patients look like his dead daughter. An investigator notice this and starts to investigate the matter. They already have a man in prison that they think killed the woman, but with new evidence and new leads, questions are starting to arouse. Did the man in prison killed the woman, or was it her father that killed her or someone else. That answer can you get by reading the book, and the ending will surprise you.

The Polar Express

I read the short story the Polar Express. They also recently made a movie out of the book, and the movie is 99 minutes long, that was kind of interesting to me, because the book is only a few pages. I haven't seen the movie myself, but I have heard it is a good movie.
But I don't think I will watch the movie before next Christmas though, it is after all a Christmas story.

The Oxbow Incident

I read the Oxbow Incident not so long ago. It is an old western written in the 1940s.
It takes place in 1885 in Nevada. Two young cowboys, Art and Gil, arrive at Bridger's Wells after they have spent the whole winter together.
Once in Bridger's Wells they find out that one of the town's men has been killed.
The rest of the men in the town are now going after the killers to hang them.
The posse catches up with the accused killers in the Oxbow valley. What happens there is up to you to find out.

The Partner

Right now I'm reading a book called the Partner.
It is about a man that worked at a law firm in Mississippi, but he stole 90 million dollars from the firm and ran away.
Now a few years later they find him in Brazil, and brings him back to Mississippi for trail. But it is only one problem he knows a secret that nobody else does.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

This is the fifth Harry Potter book.
It is written by J.K Rowling.
This is Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts. But this year is different from all the others, Lord Voldemort is back, and his followers 'the death eaters'' are joining him.
But Harry has a problem convincing people that Voldemort's actually back. The Minister of Magic, Fudge, doesn't believe him, and he is making sure that no one else will believe him either. Dumbledore and Harry's closest friends are on his side, but a lot of people are listening to Fudge, and think that Harry is a liar.
So is Harry going to be able to stop Voldemort before it is to late, and how much help will he get.

The Eaters of the Dead

Have you ever heard of eaters of the dead? Or the thirteens warrior?
It is the same book it just has two names.
If you have seen the movie you have probably heard the name the thirteens warrior.
We don't really know but it could be based on a true story.
It is the story of an Arab traveling north, he is on a mission when he meets the Vikings. He planes to stay with the Vikings for a little while, but after they get a message that they have to send some men up north to help another Viking tribe he gets picked to go along. He really doesn't want to but he has no choice.
So he travels with the Vikings and get to see a whole new culture, and also new dangers.
What evil thing are killing the people in the north. They only come out in the mist and they take the head of anyone they kill. What is this evil thing?
We get to go on this journey, because the Arab is keeping a 'journal''.
If you haven't read the book I suggest that you do, and after that you should also go and see the movie.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

You all probably know the wizard Harry Potter that J.K Rowling created.
This is the third book in that series, and that means the third year for Harry at Hogwarts. As usual the Dursleys treats him bad, and he can't wait to see his friends and go back to Hogwarts.
But with a new year comes also new dangers. One of the most dangerous men has escaped from Azkaban the most secure prison in the world. His name is Sirius Black and was sent to Azkaban after he got caught working and supporting Lord Voldemort.
Sirius is now back to get the revenge he always wanted on Harry. Since Harry was the one that weakened Lord Voldemort.
Once back at Hogwarts Harry feels great. He doesn't worry that much about Sirius escape. Instead this year Harry is looking forward to the Quiddich Cup. This is Oliver Woods, the captain for the Griffindor's team, last year at Hogwarts.
So they really want to win the cup this year.
But things starts to get scary at Hogwarts, Dementors are getting into the school yards to look for Sirius that they can't find. Teachers at the school are acting strange. And Hagrid gets in trouble because of Malfoy.
If you have read the first two Harry Potter books you should read this one as well. And if you haven't read the first one yet, then you should pick it up today.
So open your book and see what Harry is up to.

Sahara

The book that I just started reading is called Sahara.
It is written by Clive Cussler.
This month the book is coming out in theaters all over the country.
So that movie will be fun to watch after I have read the book.

The Giver

I read this book a few weeks ago.
It is about the ''perfect'' community. They are sheltered from the world and things we think is normal they don't even no about. For example they can't see colors.
But one boy named Jonas, has some special gifts, he doesn't know what they all are but he can see strange things. Or is the things he can see strange? Well if you want to find out read the book 'the Giver''.

2nd Chance

I read this book a few weeks ago. The author of the book is James Patterson.
In the book, one of the top investigators is looking for a serial killer.
I really liked the book. You feel that you get involved in the case yourself feel like you try to guess whom the killer is. It is also realistic and that is important that you feel that this could happen in real life. It is also fast moving with short chapters, but it still gives you all the information that you need.
So for you that haven't heard or read 2nd Chance and you like CSI books I recommend you read it.

From Potter's Field

I just started reading the book ''From Potter's Field.'' This book is written by Patricia Cornwell.
It is about Dr. Kay Scarpetta, she is a medical examiner working for the FBI.
A mysterious murder takes place in Central Park, New York City.
After examination the crime scene, she is certain that the serial killer she so much fear is back. The killer, who's name is Gault, is in New York, and this time Dr. Scarpetta has to do everything she can to catch him before it is to late.

The Hobbit

You all probably know about the Fellowship of the Ring, written by J.R.R Tolkien.
I have also read his book about the Hobbit, it is about Bilbo Baggins.
It takes place before the Fellowship of the Ring.
It is a very good book, you get to go with him on his dangerous adventure, and also how he finds the magic but also dangerous ring.
